September 30: Tauranga Street Machines & Customs 39th Anniversary Bash – Tauranga

This year’s Show n Shine event will be held at Greerton Village as part of the Greerton Blossom Festival on Saturday, September 30. Registration from 10am. Entry off Chadwick Rd from 9am; show from 10am-2pm. Pre-entry forms available by email tim@roadrunner-starters.com

October 6-8: Brits at the Beach – Whangamata

Brits at the Beach is a celebration of all things British, including a car and bike show. The event kicks off on Friday, October 6 with a drive-in movie at Williamson Park, followed by a Grand Parade leaving Williamson Park at 8am on Saturday, October 7, a Village Fete and Car Show at the Whangamata Wharf from 10am-2pm and a ‘Drive my Car’ run to Tairua from 2-6pm. The event concludes on Sunday, October 9 with a ‘Bonnets Up’ Car Show and buy, sell and swap market at Titoki Reserve from 10am-1pm. To register go to www.britsatthebeach.co.nz

October 8: Pedal4Prostate, Hampton Downs Motor Sport Park – Te Kauwhata

Pedal4Prostate is a one-day endurance cycling event, organised by the Prostate Cancer Foundation, to help raise funds and drive aware of prostate cancer in New Zealand. The event will be the first of its kind, allowing you the chance to tackle the bends, hills and straights of the 2.7km Hampton Downs Motor Sport Park race track. All you need is a bike, team of four, competitive spirit and a minimum of $1000 raised per team. Early bird pricing starts at $150pp ($600 per team). To register go to www.pedal4prostate.org.nz

October 28-29: Hampton Downs 500, Hampton Downs Motor Sport Park – Te Kauwhata

The Hampton Downs 500 takes place over October 28-29 at the Hampton Downs Motor Sport Park in Te Kauwhata. The 101-lap race has changed to a 500km which will see the Australian GT teams having to pit three times and manage fuel differently. The Highlands 101 will also change to the Highlands 501, which will be raced over 501km to create the New Zealand 1001. Support categories will take to the track between the AGT sessions and there will be a mega family zone and exhibits. Weekend and single day passes available.
