February 10-11: Ministocks in Paradise – Rotorua

From 6pm-10pm both days competition for the unofficial NZ – or MIP – title for the Youth Ministock Drivers will unfold. Entries number are around the 180-mark and they’ll travel from throughout New Zealand to compete. This class is restricted to drivers aged between 12 and 17 – but there is no restriction on the amount of enthusiasm or will to win. Details:

February 18, 2017: Super Stock Rumble and final round of the Saloon Car Series – Baypark

The mighty super stock cars make their only appearance for the season at Baypark Family Speedway from 6.30pm. Find out who will be the saloon car driver to win the leather La-Z-Boy chair.  Also racing will be the super saloons, stock cars, mini stocks and six-shooter V6 wingless sprint cars.

February 18, 2017: Mad Mike’s Summer Bash!

Hampton Downs Motorsport Park, Mazda and New Zealand drift superstar ‘Mad Mike’ Whiddett have joined forces to bring you the biggest drift event of 2017 – Mad Mike’s Summer Bash! Hosted by Oceanside Street Rods, come along to hotrod heaven at the Riverside Park & Unison Amphitheatre, where more than 200 of New Zealand’s very best Pre-1949 American origin Street Rods – some worth more than $200,000 – park up from 10am-2pm. Details:

February 18, 2017: Battle of the streets – Paeroa

Riders from around NZ and overseas once again converge on this quiet town to compete in the ‘Hacksaw’ street circuit, closing State Highway 2 for the day. Enjoy the ‘seat of ya pants’ racing, with riders reaching speeds of up to 260km/hr. Action-packed entertainment plus food, merchandise and free parking. Racing starts 11am. Details:

February 19, 2017: 2017 New Zealand Motocross Championships

The 2017 New Zealand Motocross Championships has Round 2 set for the Rotorua Motocross Track at Rotorua Motorcycle Club. Rotorua’s venue, on steep farmland about 25km from the city, heading towards Atiamuri, has been a regular on the national’s calendar. Details:
